Campbell, Santa Clara County
The Pruneyard, a shopping center opened in Campbell in 1970 on a former orchard, gave its name to a 1980 Supreme Court decision on free speech at private shopping malls. The Los Gatos Creek Trail runs past it, connecting the city to San Jose and Los Gatos. Light rail arrived downtown in 2005, and the old cannery buildings nearby have been converted to offices.
